Meanwhile, here's Freda leading St Mary's players around like the Pied Piper...

Two games - two big wins
A very nice win against St Mary's today with the final score 8-nil. Susanna booted two goals plus one each from Zanna, Freda, Annie McCann and Phoebe. (Extra points to Annie for scoring one in front of her uncle John - that's her goal shot below)
Smarty-pants will realise that the goal scorers add up to only six goals but close sources couldn't remember the others. Sorry about that. Maybe Phoebe's mum Julie can fill in some of the match details? We're dead keen to get reports, tips and pictures from kids and parents so please email them to Peter or Tim.

Awesome start to the new roster
Coach's report
A holiday and a frosty start must be just what the girls need! Unlike the slow start to our last match vs Collegiate, the girls were on fire from the word go, booting five goals in the first half! We took a while to score in the second half, but drove home another four to give us a 9-0 win. The midfield and defence were solid all day, barely giving Collegiate a chance.
Our big-kicking defenders like Sarah, Zanna, Phoebe and Susanna booted us back into attack time and again, and the forwards made the most of their opportunities. Freda, Charlotte, Lily (captain for the day and still celebrating her birthday from the day before. Go Lily!!)
and Zanna each scored two excellent goals, with another one to Bella.
The passing of the whole team was a delight to watch, with some memorable one-two combinations in the forward line.

Collegiate steam-rolled 9-nil
West Hobart had a HUGE win against Collegiate White in Saturday's match held on a frosty ground in South Hobart. Spectators saw lots of good play against Collegiate who tried hard throughout the game even though the final score sounds more like a netball match. Further details to come in Tim's report.
