We're back!

Phoebe chucks a wobblyWelcome to the 2007 season
Hello to new and past players who've joined this year's U11 team. Tim Tabart is the new coach, he's Megan's dad and Holly Tabart's uncle.

We'll bring you news and photos on this webpage as well as any venue changes or cancellations, plus the really big news such as The Orange Roster.

Let's begin with Tim's report from yesterday's match against Princes Street held in blustery conditions at Mt Nelson.

Fighting win against the Dolphins 4-3

The girls backed up their 4-2 win against Collegiate in the first round with a fighting, come-from-behind win against the Princes St Dolphins at Mt Nelson. On the windswept Hobart College oval, the Dolphins opened the game with two impressive goals and it looked like we were in for a tough day. Some good passing to our forwards and fantastic dribbling and shooting from Freda opened our account and by half time we were 2-3 down.

Don't look, KiraKira has a bad-hair moment...

Princes St continued to attack in the second half and only the long legs of Susie kept out what looked like one certain goal. As goalie, Susie continually booted the ball to the half way line and converted defence into attack. Tighter defending and good play around the field saw Bella even the score and finally Freda put one more through the posts to complete a hat-trick for the day and put us into the lead, giving us a 4-3 win.

We still have plenty of room to improve so early in the season, but our first two games suggest we’ll be a force to be reckoned with.

Well done everyone!

Kira, Freda and the rest of the gang
