This morning's clash against a skilful Fahan side got underway on the damp, misty Mt Nelson ground behind Hobart College. The game was closely fought but Fahan won 5-2 (I think).Susanna was unlucky to hit one of the posts instead of the large open space between them. We were lucky to retrieve the ball - twice - when it was kicked out on the steeply-sloping Southern Outlet side of the ground. Small children (and several players) as well as a number of dogs relished their opportunity to jump around in large puddles.
Paul Tabart did an excellent job filling-in for his brother Tim, the regular coach, who was AWOL. Frank McCann sliced and diced the half-time oranges to perfection; perhaps we can look forward to some of his cooking.
